Ever wanted to have a matching set of stationery, bookmarks and a handy case to keep it in?
In this class, we’ll make a collection of useful fabric stationery tools! This include corner bookmarks, book sleeves, elastic pen holders and a soft case to carry everything. These are all simple projects that make fantastic little gifts and are a great way to use up small scraps of fabric.
What we will cover:
- How to choose the correct fabric for your project
- Cutting and preparing fabric and fixings
- Finishing small projects cleanly
- Sewing items including: corner bookmark, elastic penholder, book sleeve, pencil case and small carry case
What you will need:
- Optional: if you have your own sewing equipment please bring it along (e.g.: sewing machine, machine accessories and feet, scissors, pins)
What we provide:
- A kit full of all fabric and fixings to make all of the above items
- All sewing equipment needed (sewing machines, threads etc.)
General Information:
Difficulty level: Beginner Skills
- This is an ideal class for sewists who are just beginning their sewing journey
- You are able to use a sewing machine, but might need some support to learn new sewing skills
Age: 15+
Participants are asked to please wear enclosed shoes.
