Charity: SFCA Weekly Sew Along

Sewing for Charity Australia is (SFCA) a registered charity whose mission is to make and provide handmade items to those suffering from distress, health crisis or disadvantage and the communities that support them.

Sewing for Charity Australia works in partnership with established charities as well as grassroots community groups that engage in direct giving. We also donate directly to hospitals, nursing homes, schools and almost anywhere that needs some handmade love!

We are passionate about reducing textile waste and wherever possible engage in sustainable practice by upcycling used textiles and clothing to make handmade items for donation. 

Join us as we work on our current monthly project and charity sewing/ knitting requests at The Sewing Lair.

All supplies provided and we have sewing machines available for use.

No experience necessary – we also need ironers, turners, cutters and more so if you aren’t crafty but would like a cuppa please feel free to join us.

Our only cost? A gold coin donation for tea and coffee!
