Age: Adult (16+)

Cost: $15 per session.

• Changing direction of sewing
• Sewing curves
• French seams
• Finishing seams (pinking shears, zig zag, french seams)
• Gathering
• Parts of the sewing machine
• Threading
• Cleaning the sewing machine
• Sewing terminology
• Reading commercial patterns

Projects:

Week 1 (Sat 2nd April): Tote Bag

Week 2 (Sat 7th May): Using French seams construct a pillowslip or drawstring bag

Week 3 (Sat 4th June): Pattern Weights

Week 4 (Sat 2nd July): Skirt or shorts with elasticised waistband

Week 5 (Sat 6th August): Attaching a gathered frill to an item of your choice

The series is designed for participants to learn progressively, however you can attend as few or as many as you like. You will need to book in to each session you would like to attend.

Please wear closed in shoes.

Tea and coffee provided. You are welcome to bring a plate of morning tea to share.
