This class will introduce you to the wonderful world of Free Motion Quilting!
Free Motion Quilting is a type of quilting using a domestic sewing machine to stitch a quilt sandwich without the use of the feed dogs.
Over the 4 weeks you will learn
– basics of free motion quilting
– how to baste your quilt your quilts ready for quilting
– how you can do different designs
– how to create your own design
By the end of week 4 you will have a complete quilted and bound table runner.

Total cost of the 4 weeks is $50
What you will need your first week:
Sewing machine (we do have some available to borrow at the Lair if needed)
Free motion foot (also called a darning foot)
Personal sewing items (eg scissors, snips)
Dark coloured thread
Fabric and wadding will be provided for your first class and Fiona will discuss what is needed for your project for week 2 and 3 during the first session.
