1000 Hearts is a global kindness project, sharing love through hand made hearts.
Founded in 2016 by an incredible lady named Sarah, 1000 Hearts is a kindness project based in Hobart, Tasmania – offering people a symbol of compassion and care through handmade pocket hearts.
You can learn more about 1000 hearts on their website https://www.1000hearts.com.au/ or fb @1000PocketHeaers
During this workshop children will be taught basic hand stitching skills to create small felt hearts. They will participate in age appropriate discussion about the importance of kindness and be encouraged to become a “Heartist” by making and sharing hearts within their own families and community. They will also be given the opportunity to make a heart and note for a child in need of comfort, to be distributed through our charity.
Parents/ Caregivers are welcome to drop their children and return at the conclusion of the class or utilise our lounge facilities to wait for the duration of the workshop.
